We collect minimal data, use it only to improve your experience, and never sell it. We use PostHog for analytics and Firebase for authentication. Formulation data you enter into IntelliForm is used only to generate your results — we don't share it with third parties or use it to train commercial AI models without your explicit consent.
This Privacy Policy describes how ChemeNova LLC ("ChemeNova," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use our website at chemenova.com, the IntelliForm™ formulation platform, the ChemeNova AI Node, and any related products, tools, and services we operate (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our Services.
This policy does not apply to third-party websites, products, or services linked from our platform, including ChemRich Global (chemrichusa.com) or ChemRich India, each of which maintains its own privacy policies.

Our manufacturing partner, ChemRich Global (a division of Snow White Products, Inc.), operates independently and maintains separate data practices. Communications routed to ChemRich for pilot batch manufacturing requests are governed by ChemRich's own privacy terms.
Data We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
- Account registration information: name, email address, organization, and role when you create an IntelliForm account
- Formulation briefs and inputs entered into IntelliForm, including target performance parameters, ingredient preferences, and certification requirements
- Correspondence and inquiries submitted via email, contact forms, or pilot batch request forms
- Feedback, survey responses, and research collaboration materials you voluntarily submit
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration, click events, and navigation paths within our Services
- Device and technical data: browser type, operating system, screen resolution, IP address (anonymized after 24 hours), and referral URL
- Performance data: load times, error logs, and API response metrics used to improve platform stability
- Cookie and local storage data as described in Section 06

- Authentication data from Firebase (Google LLC) when you use Google Sign-In to access IntelliForm
- Academic and professional profile information you choose to link to your account (e.g., ORCID, LinkedIn)

How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect for the following purposes, each grounded in a lawful basis under applicable privacy law:
- Providing the Services: Processing your formulation briefs through IntelliForm™, generating certified blend recommendations, running Bayesian optimization and QSAR models, and returning outputs to you
- Platform Improvement: Analyzing aggregated usage patterns to identify bugs, improve the AI council models, and prioritize new features in IntelliForm and future products
- Communication: Sending transactional emails related to your account, pilot batch status updates, and research collaboration correspondence
- Security & Fraud Prevention: Detecting and preventing unauthorized access, abuse of the platform, and technical vulnerabilities
- Research & Publication: Using aggregated, fully anonymized data to support our published research on AI-driven formulation intelligence (with no individual or company identifiable)
- Legal Compliance: Meeting obligations under applicable U.S. and international laws, including responding to lawful requests from government authorities
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your formulation inputs to train commercial large language models or sell derived insights to competitors. We do not use your data for advertising targeting or build behavioral advertising profiles.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers
- PostHog, Inc. — product analytics. Data is processed under PostHog's Data Processing Agreement. You may opt out via our cookie consent banner.
- Google LLC (Firebase) — authentication and database services. Governed by Google's Cloud Data Processing Addendum.
- Streamlit (Snowflake, Inc.) — hosting of the IntelliForm interface. Processing under Snowflake's DPA.
- GitHub, Inc. (Microsoft) — version control and open-source codebase hosting for MIT-licensed IntelliForm components.
Business Operations
- ChemRich Global / Snow White Products, Inc. — when you submit a pilot batch manufacturing request, relevant formulation specifications and contact details are shared with ChemRich solely to fulfill that request
- Academic research partners (NJIT, University of Illinois Chicago) receive only anonymized, aggregated technical data for joint research programs
Legal Requirements
- We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of ChemeNova, our users, or the public
Business Transfers
- In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you via email or prominent website notice prior to any such transfer
IntelliForm™ Formulation Data
IntelliForm processes specialized technical data — formulation briefs, ingredient selections, performance targets, and certification requirements — that may constitute commercially sensitive intellectual property. We apply specific protections:
- Formulation inputs are processed transiently to generate your output. They are not stored in a persistent database unless you explicitly enable "Formulation History" in your account settings
- We do not share your specific formulation inputs with third parties except ChemRich Global when you submit a pilot batch request
- Aggregated, fully anonymized technical data (e.g., "X% of requests target COSMOS certification") may be used in our published research — no individual company, person, or formula is ever identifiable
- Enterprise API customers may execute an additional Data Processing Agreement (DPA) that prohibits any secondary use of their formulation data
- The open-source MIT-licensed IntelliForm components on GitHub contain no user data; your formulation history is never committed to the public repository
We do not use your formulation inputs to train commercial AI models without your explicit, opt-in written consent. Any research involving formulation data is conducted only on fully anonymized, aggregated datasets. Our AI council models are trained on open chemical databases (PubChem, ChEMBL, ECOTOX, LCA datasets) and our own published research.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law:
- Account data is retained for the duration of your account plus 90 days after deletion to facilitate recovery requests, then permanently deleted
- Formulation history (if enabled) is retained until you delete it or close your account
- Analytics data is retained for 12 months in PostHog, after which it is automatically purged
- Email correspondence related to pilot batch inquiries or enterprise sales is retained for 36 months for business continuity purposes
- Legal and compliance records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by applicable law
- Server logs (including IP addresses) are anonymized within 24 hours and retained for up to 90 days for security purposes
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data. We honor these rights for all users regardless of location:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention requirements
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data while a dispute is resolved
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Opt-out of analytics: Disable PostHog analytics at any time via the cookie consent banner
- California (CCPA/CPRA): California residents have additional rights including the right to know, the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell data), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights
- EU/UK (GDPR/UK GDPR): EU and UK residents have the right to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority

Children's Privacy
Our Services are designed for professional use by adults in the chemical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, and related industries. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at shehan@chemenova.com. We will delete such information promptly upon verification.
Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction:
- TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit between your browser and our servers
- Firebase Authentication with industry-standard OAuth 2.0 and JWT token management
- Role-based access controls limiting internal access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
- Regular security reviews of third-party service providers and their data processing agreements
- Streamlit Cloud infrastructure maintained by Snowflake, Inc. under SOC 2 Type II compliance
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
International Transfers
ChemeNova LLC is based in the United States. If you access our Services from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, such transfers are conducted under appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) incorporated in our agreements with service providers including Google (Firebase), PostHog, and Snowflake (Streamlit).
ChemRich India operations (chemrichindia.com) are conducted under Indian data protection regulations. Formulation data shared with ChemRich India for manufacturing purposes is subject to appropriate contractual protections between ChemeNova LLC and ChemRich Global.
Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:
- Post the updated policy on this page with a new "Last Updated" date
- Send an email notification to registered IntelliForm users at least 14 days before the changes take effect
- Display a prominent notice on our homepage for 30 days following significant updates
Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of an updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you must discontinue use of our Services and may request deletion of your account.
